Sweetheart

Hello! Hope you are all having a good day? I've finished my Sweetheart card range! Hurrah!!!! I hope you like them. If you would like to see more photos and close ups of each card click here to see them in my
shop. I did want to show you all the cards individually here on my blog but I'm running out of hours yet again! This has turned out to be quite a mammoth task and a real learning curve as to how long a project like this takes! Any feedback or comments on this range would be really helpful as I will be exhibiting these cards at Harrogate Home and Gift this year- my first trade fair and something I'm rather nervous (and excited) about! :)
Have a good evening and I'll back tomorrow with Aprils Giveaway! :)

Nearly There!

Hello!
Hope everyone had a lovely weekend. This is just a quick post today to say that I'm frantically trying to get my Sweetheart card range finished, made, photographed and in my shop. I'm very nearly there so tomorrow I should be able to show you the whole range! Yay!
Also it's nearly the 1st of April which is Giveaway day! I can't believe how quickly that's come around.
See you tomorrow! :)

Easter Bunny!

Hello. I've designed an Easter card! Well I couldn't not really could I- seeing as I love drawing bunnies- this would be such a wasted opportunity! :) This card is part of a range I have designed called "Where's Rabbit?" and was inspired by a little brown rabbit called Oliver (aka Mr.O) who loved eating bannana and playing hide and seek! It's now available in my Etsy shop. I Hope you like it!

Oh and thank you for all your lovely comments about Florence! I've passed all the messages onto her and she was super excited about it all :)

Bye for now

Florence

Hello! Hope everyone had a lovely weekend. I had a great crafting Saturday with my friend Emma (another Emma!) we made a few things, went for a walk in the sun and ate cheese and piccalilli sandwiches (yum). Thanks Em for a fab day :) And as a result of my very crafty weekend I would like to introduce you to little Florence! Florence is of course a Thingamajig. Thingamajigs love exploring and have a particular love for plants and flowers. They are born into this world for a wonderful reason- to bring friendship, happiness, smiles and laughter. They are created through someone’s imagination, but not very easily............................... you have to wish for one! If you are lucky enough to bring a Thingamajig to life you will have a friend forever as they are such loyal and happy creatures.

I thought it would be fun to take some pictures of Florence as she explored my garden- she was particularly excited when she found some pink flowers (she loves anything pink). I may have got a tad carried away with my picture taking but she just looked to cute and I couldn't stop! Also check out her denim satchel that Emma made for her :)

If you would like to adopt Florence she is looking for a good home with someone who enjoys eating rhubarb crumble from time to time (her favourite food) :) Click here for more info.

Sunny Days and an Ice Cream Sundae!

Happy Friday everyone! I woke up this morning, peeked round the curtains and saw it was going to be another warm, bright, sunny day! Joy! :) So I'm feeling rather jolly today and in keeping with my present mood I thought I would show you a jolly print. Sweetheart's off on another adventure as you can see! Don't know about you but I would be delighted if I ordered an ice cream sundae and I received a free fluffy white rabbit with it! Welcome to my imaginary world! Hee Hee
If you've been reading my blog for a while you will already know I have designed a range of cards (9 to be exact) about Sweetheart and her adventures which I hope to be finally sharing with you very soon.
Have a great weekend and if you would like to see more info on this print you can click here or here.
See you all on Monday :)

Balance

Over the past few weeks I've been trying to come up with a way to find a bit more balance between all the areas of my working life and my private life and to be honest I haven't had much success! As soon as you think you are on top of it all another ten things come up and you are back where you started! Now I'm certainly not trying to sound negative about this- I LOVE my new life working as a freelancer and selling my art but when I'm reading the various blogs I like to follow I often ask myself "how do they do it all and maintain some sort of balance in their lives?" Then, as if by magic I pretty much got my answer on Erins blog and that is.........there is no answer (which was really comforting to hear actually)! I think you just have to try and figure out how to fit what's important to you into your weekly routine and perhaps go as far as writing a weekly schedule to fit in some "time off". Here are the two great videos I watched created by Erin- click here and here to see them. I hope you enjoy them and find them as helpful as I did :)

P.S I have another Chiff Chaff print to show you soon and Sweeheart's back in a new a print also. Bye for now :)

Flower Basket & Birdie

This week I think I broke my own record for working the longest day ever- 15 hours! :( That's crazy! As a consequence I've felt rather shattered this week (and to be honest was a little bit useless in getting anything of importance done today) but I was determined to write a blog post!
I wanted to say a big thank you to Cathy who invited us creatives to send her a "found art" project which she would then post on her blog. It was a really fun project to do- thanks Cathy!
I also wanted to show you a new print that's now available to buy here and here. This design is from another range of prints that I am putting together inspired by the Chiff Chaff. I do hope you like it.
Have a lovely weekend :)

The Winners Are.................

Sorry I'm posting this a little later than I wanted to, but the winners of my March Giveaway are..................(drum roll)................... Sumea and Cathy Nichols! Congratulations! I really hope you both enjoy your new prints :)

A Little Blackbird

Hello! Hope you all had lovely weekends?

There's only a few hours to go until I pick two winners for my March Giveaway! If you are new to this blog and might like to enter, scroll down two posts to my "March Giveaway" post and all you have to do is leave me a comment before 9pm GMT :)

I did a little painting experiment this weekend after reading this and this on Cathy Nichols's most inspiring blog. Above is the finished piece and I'm rather fond of it! I like the simplicity and naiveness of it- hope you like it too! The original painting is about to be added to my Etsy and DaWanda shops (and a print of it too).

Have a good day and I'll be announcing the winner after 9pm this evening!

Six cupcakes & a bunny!

Hello! Sorry I haven't posted for a while- I was planning on writing a few posts this week and then I got trapped under a huge To-Do-List which kept getting bigger not smaller! Thank you so much to everyone who's entered my Giveaway so far and left such lovely comments- it means an awful lot to me :)
I'm about to list a new print in my shops- yes shops plural! You may have noticed already (as the link to it is on the right hand side panel) but this week I opened my Etsy shop. It'll be very interesting to see which of my shops does better. Anyway I really hope you like the print- as mentioned before this is part of range that I've been working on inspired by a white rabbit I know called Sweetheart so you'll be seeing a bit more of Sweetheart next week. Have a lovely weekend everyone!

March Giveaway!

Spring is finally here- we've got flowers popping up all over the garden! Hurrah! I feel like celebrating this so I'm giving away two of my "Amongst The Flowers" prints. This design is a slightly bigger version to the one I have in the shop and one is on cream paper and one is on white.
To enter all you have to do is leave a comment below, perhaps sharing your favourite things about spring- or just say hi- it's up to you. I will announce the winner next Monday (9th) at 9pm GMT. Oh and if you have a preference to your print being on cream or white please let me know.

Good Luck Everybody!
